To support your important work and opportunities for education, we are pleased to offer the Inspired Breathing Conference as a virtual event on June 1, 2, and 3, 2021. Those who are currently pre-registered from the postponed 2020 event will be contacted to verify their registration preferences.

The Inspired Breathing Conference brings us together and unites us in lung health: family physicians, respiratory specialists, allied respiratory health care professionals, and respiratory educators. This conference offers content that is diverse, current, evidence-based and of value to all delegates. With its mix of lectures, keynote speakers and participative intensives presented by experts and key opinion leaders in their respective fields of specialty, this professional education conference truly includes something for everyone. For Physicians: This one-credit-per-hour program has been certified by the College of Family Physicians of Canada and the Saskatchewan Chapter for up to 8.25 Mainpro+® credits.

 

For Respiratory Therapists: This educational offering has been approved for 8.25 continuing education credit/professional development credits by the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists. The Lung Association, Saskatchewan maintains all responsibility for this offering and its content.

*Day Three Intensives: Choose from Spirometry Interpretation or Virtual Pulmonary Rehabilitation:

  • The Spirometry Interpretation Intensive will: enable you to describle the role of spirometry as an objective measurement of lung disease; describe spirometry testing, terms and measurements; describe the criteria for test acceptability and repeatability, and gain confidence in the interpretation of spirometry.
  • The Virtual Pulmonary Rehabilitation Intensive will: review national tools available to support pulmonary rehab; demonstrate how pulmonary rehabilitation can be adapted during the COVID-19 pandemic; provide practical tools to help mitigate limitations/risks to virtual rehabilitation; review effectiveness of virtual pulmonary rehabilitation.

ALL Conference attendees will also receive exclusive access to an online resources section, sponsored by the Lung Association and our Industry Partners.
