McPherson Keynote Lecture

Inspired Breathing Virtual Conference 2022 Speaker: Dr. John Froh

The McPherson Keynote Lecture honours the memory of Lilian and Russell McPherson. Lilian McPherson was a nurse who worked in lung health and Dr. Russell McPherson was a physician who spent his entire career of 35 years fighting tuberculosis.

Dr. McPherson enlisted in the Royal Canadian Army Medical Corps in 1941 and was discharged after the war ended with the rank of Major. He was also awarded the M.B.E for his service (Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire).

It is our great honour to commemorate the McPherson family’s generous contributions to lung health in Saskatchewan through the McPherson Keynote Lecture.
