Shingles Awareness Week (SAW) - February 23rd to March 1st
Feb 24, 2026

GSK is hosting Shingles Awareness Week (February 23–March 1) in a national effort to raise awareness about shingles. This initiative aims to emphasize the importance of shingles prevention, particularly for individuals aged 18 and older who are immunocompromised, as well as the broader population aged 50 and older.

Recent findings from the National Institute on Aging’s updated 2022 Shingles Report highlight the ongoing burden of shingles and the importance of prevention through education and vaccination. Highlighting advocacy initiatives led by the Adult Vaccine Alliance and social media engagement driven by CARP, this week serves as an important reminder for individuals to speak with their healthcare providers about their shingles risk.

Lung Saskatchewan shares trusted vaccine information to help protect people with chronic lung conditions from serious illness.
